Our mowers of today are essentially the same as were produced 10 years ago, but they are much easier to care for and much easier to use. 10 years ago the very first models weighed from 40 to 60 pounds. Today's models range from 16 to 32 pounds. The plastic handles have been replaced with environmental painted or plated tubular steel handles. The heavy cast wheels have been replaced with much lighter environmental plastics. Today's Earth Machine Electric Mowers has many advantages. They start every time. In 2008 Earth Machines Company marked "10 years of building the first electric lawn mower". June 21, 2008 was proclaimed by the California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to be Earth Machines Mower 10th Anniversary Day in the State of California. The proclamation was read at the State House, and all citizens were urged to join together and focus their attention on the importance of environmentally-friendly lawn care practices. To celebrate 10 years of manufacturing Earth Machine mowers, the company went on a search for the first Green Machine Lawn Mower still being used. The search found Chad Udell from Peoria IL, who still uses the original Earth Machine 100! We thank him for his dedication for supporting a better environment!
